Get to Know Me
I鈥檓 a Florida native from Tallahassee. I earned my bachelor鈥檚 degree in neuroscience from Furman University and completed medical school at the University of South Florida. I enjoyed my pediatric residency in Orlando so much that I stayed on an extra year as chief resident. For me it鈥檚 truly an honor and a privilege to care for children and I love sharing in the exciting and challenging experiences of parenting.
Why I Treat Children
I knew I wanted to care for children after I spent a high school summer working with a pediatrician. I quickly understood that the doctor didn鈥檛 just treat patients 鈥 she had relationships with families, and this left a lasting impression. Throughout medical school, my residency, and especially today in my practice, working with families is the best part of my job. It鈥檚 my goal to become a trusted 鈥渕edical home鈥 for parents and kids, helping them through all of life鈥檚 stages.
What I'm Passionate About
I鈥檓 passionate about educating families, because knowledge is power. As a partner in care, I teach families not only about illnesses, but also about growth, behavior and development, to help them raise happy, healthy kids who grow into happy, healthy adults. Knowing that every child is unique, I offer personalized guidance, support and advice for each family.
How I Try to Make A Difference
I strive to really get to know my families and I invest my attention and experience to help every child in any way I can. One of my proudest moments was being inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society which recognizes medical students and practicing physicians for their compassion, excellence in clinical care, leadership, and dedication to service. Living up to this high standard drives every interaction I have with my patients and families.
