Clinical Child and Pediatric Psychology Fellowships, Wilmington, Delaware

Program Overview

The Division of Behavioral Health at Nemours Children鈥檚 Hospital, Delaware offers 9 clinical postdoctoral fellowships beginning August or September 2025. Positions are open to graduates from American Psychological Association-approved doctoral programs who will have completed their internship training and听补濒濒听degree requirements (including dissertation defense) by the start of fellowship. Fellowships are one year in duration unless otherwise noted. The fellowships offer clinical training across Pediatric Psychology, Integrated Primary Care, Clinical Child Psychology and Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND).听

The mission of the Department of Psychology at Nemours Children鈥檚 Hospital, Delaware is 鈥渢o improve well-being through quality behavioral health care, education, training and research in a collaborative, inclusive and culturally responsive manner.鈥 Therefore, fellows will actively participate in a monthly diversity and cultural humility seminar and psychology grand rounds in diversity and cultural competence. Fellows who are bilingual Spanish-English will participate in a biweekly bilingual supervision seminar with our Spanish-speaking faculty. Additional opportunities to engage in diversity, equity, inclusion and anti-racism are also available and strongly encouraged.

In addition to clinical hours, fellows participate in didactic seminars spanning topics such as professional development, wellness, clinical supervision, advocacy, ethic, research and scholarly inquiry. Fellows also have opportunities to supervise other psychology learners from our psychology externship and internship programs. All fellows听(except LEND program)听may choose to participate in research training. Research is mentored by faculty within the Center for Healthcare Delivery Science, and one full day per week is set aside for these activities.听

2.听Letter of interest specifying the major rotation position/s you are seeking. Please also summarize your qualifications, minor rotation clinical interests, any research interests and goals for fellowship. If you speak Spanish, please outline this in your cover letter. You may apply to more than one position and note this in one cover letter.

3.听Two letters of recommendation;听at least one from a direct clinical supervisor

4.听Letter from dissertation chair indicating status of dissertation defense or other relative degree requirements by start of fellowship. This may be included in a letter of recommendation if your chair is one of your letter writers.

Applicants must have completed all degree requirements for their PhD/PsyD and a predoctoral internship from programs accredited by the American Psychological Association by September 2025. If the applicants鈥 degree is not conferred by this deadline, a letter from the graduate program鈥檚 Director of Clinical Training is sufficient.
